Changes since V1.0.1
- Added ROMXc+ compatibility
- Minor bug fix for obscure leap year issue
- Added POWER.ON - simulates turning off the computer and then back on. Now you can call up the ROMX menu whenever you want. No need to power cycle the computer. Much smaller and quicker than ROMXCE.DISK (but keep that around for firmware restores).
- Added SET.SPEED - If you have a ROMXc+ this program demonstrates how to change the accelerator speed programmatically. Also works for the ROMXe with a FastCHIP. Just enter the speed value (0-F) and it will instantly set the accelerator to the corresponding speed.
Note for Apple IIc+ users : If you add the &A command directly to the standard ROM $05 image, it will be overwritten when that image launches (although if you hit the esc key immediately after launching the image it will revert to Normal speed). If you also add a DOS link to the ROM $05 however (e.g. &A0&DF), it will then set the speed correctly after the image is launched. Of course, you can always use the ROM 5X image which not only handles the the accelerator control properly but also adds many other features (see https://github.com/mgcaret/rom4x). That is why we set it as the factory default for the ROMXc+.
